Network Monitoring

Management Modules

Uplogix Secure Remote Management (SRM) solution is deployed on the Envoy platform to manage distributed IT infrastructure. Optional individual management modules can be licensed separately and deployed across the Envoy network as needed.

SLV Management Module

The Service Level Verification (SLV) management module from Uplogix ensures consistent, high levels of IT service by monitoring and measuring the performance of critical network services and applications from the end-user's perspective.

With the added SLV module, Envoy appliances use synthetic transactions to regularly collect network- and application-specific performance data, which is available for viewing, trending and analysis in the centralized Envoy Management System (EMS).

Throughout the distributed infrastructure, Envoy appliances locally correlate service-level data with infrastructure performance data to triangulate and pinpoint the root cause of service-related problems. In many cases, Envoy appliances can even automate fixing the issue, making active management a reality.

Using Envoy, it is quick and easy to set and compare baselines and acceptable thresholds for the services being monitored that will display in the EMS. Based on customizable settings, the EMS will display immediate notifications when service-level events occur that violate these thresholds. Service-level data is also stored and archived for up to six months for trend analysis, and can be easily exported for custom reporting or integration into other management systems.

Detailed knowledge about current state of networked services and applications from SLV management module, access and control of the real-time data boosts Envoy's SRM capability.
