HTTP & TCP/IP

Web-based Transactions (HTTP)

Synthetic HTTP-based transactions are executed locally at each location where Uplogix ARM appliances with Advanced RMOS are deployed. DNS lookup, connection setup time, time to first byte and time to last byte are measured.

Raw Socket (TCP/IP)

Often called a TCP “handshake”, the round-trip connection establishment process more accurately measures the network portion of the communication by isolating much of the delay associated with the server itself, such as load and content rendering.

TCP/ IP roundtrip connection data evaluates raw network performance without the application protocol overhead.

Having constant, secure access and control over our distributed IT infrastructure through Uplogix gives us a sense of comfort and confidence knowing we’re saving thousands of dollars in support costs, improving network availability and ensuring high quality of service to our customers.”
