Uplogix in a rackUplogix appliances manage heterogeneous devices (i.e. routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, WAN accelerators, GPS, satellite modems, and servers) through Native (out-of-the-box) support for IP devices.  RMOS v4.0 features expanded support for single command-and-response actions removing the requirement of custom device drivers to control a wide variety of infrastructure devices. This capability gives enterprise IT staff an automated approach that console vendors and software-only network and systems management (NSM) solutions fail to deliver.

Uplogix ARM appliances offer two approaches for management of devices: Native and Advanced to manage any IP device with a command line interface (CLI). With new login/logout capability, RMOS v4.0 increases security through an authentication process that includes session management to automatically log out of the device if a user does not log out after a configurable period of time.
